Iceland. 2011. The first Gentlemens Expedition. Winter. I just loved travelling through Iceland in winter, such harsh,desolate and beautiful place. So much easier to understand the Icelandic character during this time. I even mentioned my upcoming big love of life, Greenland, for the first time here, I wrote: ” I think this morning drive was a highlight of my life. No traffic. Icy and snow covered roads. Hardly any traffic at all. No people. Just groups of these beautiful Icelandic horses foraging. After a few days of touring this extraordinary island in a Landrover, I wrote a list of must-sees, the first suggestion was:
1. Gullfoss, the waterfall. Impressive, especially during winter.
