Day 6 Greenland

Hi my name is Eva, Mikaels daughter. My dad will be going to Greenland for a month and a half to ski across the icecap. When he is gone both me and Hannah will be writing his posts for him so you know how he is progressing. He will be calling by satellite every 3 days and I will write what he says from his perspective.

Mikael:

Six days out of 35…done! The weather has been brilliant with some rain, some overcast, but lots of sun, too. We have spent 5 days negotiating the crevasses, and plenty of interesting crossings. But today, we have come up onto a flatter, huge area giving it a feeling of sking on a huge white pancake. Awesome! I feel very privileged here and we are working together brilliantly as a group, all done in military style. I am enjoying myself thoroughly and I’m slowly getting accustomed to everything. Polar bear tracks passed. We expect strong winds tomorrow. Life is good!
