Equaminity: Love and Defender X
Equaminity.
I think this is the word that best describes the great thing with aging. Time has given me mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, especially in difficult situations. It involves the daily work of maintaining inner peace and not being overwhelmed by emotions or external circumstances. At least not too much!
It also makes you enjoy the smaller things of life. Like the first thing I do when I wake up every morning at this time of the year, I brew a cup of coffee, opening the balcony door, let in the warm morning air, sit down, look at the day waking up, I read a bit of wisdom, journal and meditate. And just enjoy the moment.
I could feel great unstable emotions. Like the fact that Hannah, the woman I love, just left. After a wonderful time together, there´s a huge empty space next to me.
Or that I cannot take part on going down the Yukon river with the Defender X Expedition and my best friends.
This is how life is. Ups and downs. Nothing is forever. Best is to accept that fact. It makes life easier! The laws of impermanence rules life.
