Carribean: A short but wonderful visit
I have had another privilaged opportunity to be on the Lionshare Yacht captained by Graham Lloyd. Believe me, best of the best. Best friends, wonderful group of people, and a great warm, friendly and compassionate crew. Captain Lloyd helped me with my new health issues with bravado! For those looking to be a wordly paradise, Lionshare delivers!
The Caribbean is more than great weather, warm people and deadly rumpunch! The history is faschinating. We visited the three islands of Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis this time. With Nevis as a highlight. Another one was a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Park, Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. The location offered great views over St Kitts. A small museum inside gave us a brief insight into the lives of colonizers and locals. The old evil slavery stories still amazes in evilness. But we also got a reminder that soldier life wasn´t easy. Nelson´s Dockyard on Antigua and Barbuda is another worthwhile colonial reminder.
Food is also good. Especially the local atmosphere at Roti Sue, who herself is a wonderful character. The goat was great!
And, yes, careful with the Rumpunch!
