Expedition Siberia 2004-5: Sleeping In A Tent in -50
The worst? Sleeping in a tent day in and day out in a tent in -50? The pain after too much hard work and lack of sleep. The nosethrills froze up all the time, trying to give us frostbite. Secondly, and the terrible cramps in the quadriceps every time we lay down after a long day. In extreme cold and darkness. Freezing every second you stopped. It took hours for the cramps to stop. We had to stick the noses inside the sleeping bag. We had vapour barrier bags inside the sleeping bag to keep any moisture to a minum and drying clothes away.
