Frozen Frontier: The Coldest Day

58 degrees C was the coldest day recorded on the journey from Uchugay to Arkah. The cold is the reason that the great Eveny reindeer herders from Arkah still use leather and wood to fix their beautiful sledges. Every morning and during the day we stopped to clean them from ice. On and off due to the hard ride up and down rivers and streams, through the taiga, they broke, but were easily fixed by the herders. A very impressive people! The documentary from this epic journey, winner of the Golden Goggles, can be seen at the Siła Marzeń – Festiwal Przygody (Adventure festival) in Warsaw 26th of May 18.20-19.35 http://www.festiwalsilymarzen.com/ .
